A million customers EDF collected twice by mistake – The Express

While the winter is rather harsh, the electricity bill of many French promises to be salty, probably due to a computer bug. EDF has recognized this Wednesday, a “malfunction”, after having taken two times some customers -about a million, according to Europe 1, which reveals the information. But the electrician ensures that most of the banking operations were quickly cancelled.

“there have been customers who were collected two times,” said a spokesman for EDF, without confirming, however, the figure advanced by Europe 1. The public company account 27.8 million customers in France.

withdrawals cancelled in 99% of cases

“The problem has been narrowed” and that “99 percent of affected customers had seen their withdrawals cancelled today [Wednesday] 15: 30″, added the spokesperson from EDF, saying that all clients are injured will be re-credited without bank fees “by the end of the week.”

On my social networks, many customers have requested explanations and expressed their dissatisfaction. “Will you pay also, the premium that it has caused,” outweighs a twitter.

The group “pray [these] customers of the excuse for this malfunction”, of which he was not able to specify the cause this Wednesday evening. According to the radio station, a computer bug would be responsible for the incident.
