Registrations: Renault takes all, DS tumbles – Challenges.fr

The increase in new car registrations in France was a bit packed in April, rising by only 2.3% after a first quarter in 2015 to + 6.9%, announced Monday, May 4 the French builders Committee Automobile (CCFA).

The Renault group gained market share last month saw its registrations increase by 3.4%, while its French rival PSA Peugeot Citroen has stalled with 0.7% increase, the CCFA said in its monthly delivery statistics.

In the first four months of the year, PSA (+ 3.6%), however, the group performs better than Renault (+ 3%), the shape of his Peugeot (+ 8.1%) that offset almost stability Citroën (-0.4%) and depression DS (-13.4%).

Strong increase for Renault

The Renault group, for its part, sees its growth boosted by registrations of cars hit the diamond (+ 7.2% since the beginning of the year ). Over the same period, the brand Dacia low cost, having made great progress in recent years, fell by 9.8%.

The 2.3% increase in April reduced the rate of progression of automobile market since the beginning of the year. It remains largely in the green at 5.6%, notes the CCFA.
