France confirms its role as a stronghold in the formation of the best managers in the world. Two schools and place on the podium of 2014 ranking of the best Masters in Management, established by the Financial Times and published on Monday 15 September.
HEC remains in second place, just ahead ESSEC (3rd) . For the fourth consecutive year, this is the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland tops. In all, 18 schools or French universities appear among the British daily, against 11 for the United Kingdom. Of particular note is the beautiful breakthroughs of ESC Rennes (rising from 36th to 23rd place) and of the Telecom Business School in Evry (now the 25th position, against 34 a year before.)
However, all is not rosy for business schools in France. The ESCP Europe (7 minus 5 seats) and EM Lyon (20th, least 9 seats) are in decline. In addition, another Financial Times ranking is not in favor of the French: palmares of their value, new this year. The French formations might be quality, they are expensive and, more importantly, wages at the exit is far from windfall. So, no curriculum only includes the top 10 value.
