PARIS, Feb. 17 (Reuters) – Air Liquide is planning further growth in profit in 2015 after a year in 2014 again supported by the dynamism of emerging countries and cost savings while foreign exchange weighed on the results of industrial gas specialist.

Air Liquide, whose German rival Linde and American Praxair and Air Products, achieved last year a turnover of 15,358,000 euros (+ 0.9% on a reported basis and 4.5% on a comparable basis).

However, cost savings of 321 million euros, exceeding the goals of the group, have pushed its operating margin by more than 20 basis points to 17.1%, an increase even more sensitive in the activity “Gas and services “where it reached 40 basis points.

In 2010, Air Liquide has launched a plan called” Alma “providing one billion cost reduction euros, a figure revised upward to 1, 3 billion euros at the end of fiscal 2012, which corresponds to annual savings of 250 million euros.

Under 2014, Air Liquide proposes a dividend of 2.55 euros, unchanged on 2013, corresponding to an increase of 10.3% given the award in 2014 of one bonus share for every 10 held.

“In a comparable economic environment, Air Liquide is confident in its ability to achieve another year of growth in net profit in 2015, “says CEO Benoît Potier Air Liquide said in a statement.

It also ensures that” balance sheet strength, capital expenditure running, which represent 2.8 billion euros, and the signatures of new contracts will contribute to growth in coming years. “
