Greece very difficult negotiations, says the boss of the euro area

Brussels – The negotiations on the extension of Greece’s financing program is complicated and difficult, admitted Friday boss the euro area, Jeroen Dijsselbloem.

I do not have to tell you that discussions are quite complicated. There are reasons to be optimistic, but it is very difficult, said Mr Dijsselbloem, just before a crucial meeting of the Eurogroup.

The meeting of finance ministers of the euro area the third in less than ten days, will start as soon as possible, said Mr. Dijsselbloem. It was originally scheduled to start at 1400 GMT before being delayed an hour and a half.

In order to reconcile the positions of Greece and Germany, the eurozone, the IMF and the European Commission organized a mediation between ministers Wolfgang Schäuble and Yanis Varoufakis, according to a Greek source.

I discuss with key stakeholders to find a solution, it will take us time, said Mr. Dijsselbloem, which hoped to announce the outcome of this meeting in a few hours
