How much do entrepreneurs? – Echoes Business

3,100 net per month for non-employees (excluding agriculture), 460 euros for auto-entrepreneurs <- tpl_article / articles_associes -> : This is what earn an average of independents. These data are from a study, “Employment and income of independent” unveiled by INSEE this February 11th.
The downside? This data is based on the figures of 2011. The base is dated, but still it is the most recent.



The occupations with the highest incomes

The self-made and ‘do best? These are the legal and accounting professions (9,000 euros for legal professionals), doctors and dentists (just over 8,000 euros) and the Pharmaceutical Trade (7840 euros per month).



The occupations earn less

At the other end of the pay scale, there is trade not in stores (870 euros per month), arts and entertainment (1,200 euros), hairdressing (1,260 euros) , taxis (1,410 euros) and education (1460 euros).

In detail, the study also points to the auto-entrepreneurs. According to INSEE, the auto-entrepreneurs earn on average 460 euros per month! Those working in the construction sector and business services, however, come in a little better. Note however that a third of auto-entrepreneurs exerts a parallel employment. Their remuneration intervenes only as salary supplement

Strong inequalities

Through these disparate figures a reality.! Wage inequality is more pronounced among independent than employees, “ which is explained both by the weight of high incomes and by the presence of very low income ” notes INSEE.
Moreover, the The study reveals that women earn less than their male counterparts. about a quarter of pay less! Surprising, because they often have in more lucrative sectors. However, the “independent” typically spend fewer hours of work for their business.



Who are the independents?

The non-salaried workers (farmers, traders, artisans or liberal professionals) were 2.8 million in 2011, an employed person in 10. This figure has increased by 26% between 2006 and 2011, excluding agriculture. This corresponds to the emergence of self-entrepreneurs who were close to half a million end of 2011.
