In total, the total bill will reach one billion euros ! They are subscribers as “blue” or “green”, the customers of EDF are likely to see “red”. 28 million of them are going to have to pay a bill catch-up estimated at several tens of euros in the name of a “catch price” which has been the subject of conflicting decisions. Are, therefore, concerned the customers to the regulated tariffs of sale of electricity, blue for residential and green, according to two decrees published in the official Journal. This catch-up rates in force between 1 August 2014 and 31 July 2015, arising from the decision in mid-June the Council of State annulling the two decisions, which had resulted in a freeze and then a 1.5% increase of regulated tariffs as at November 1, 2014.

For individuals, subscribers to the blue tariff residential, the correction will amount to 30 euros, representing a total of 814 million euros, according to a resolution of the Commission of energy regulation. For customers who subscribe to the green tariff, which no longer exists since the 1st of January, this catch-up will reach the total sum of € 184 million.

After the decision of the Council of State, the minister of Energy, Ségolène Royal had stated that this catch-up would be allocated over 18 months to spread out its impact on consumer bill.
