(Boursier.com) — The privatisation of the airports of Nice and Lyon is now recognised, so that two decrees have been published in the Official Journal on Monday.

Long process

The State has in effect ceded 60% of its stake held in the share capital of the company Airports of the Côte d’azur to the consortium constituted by the Italian company Atlantia SpA, Aeroporti di Roma SpA and Electricité de France.

similarly, the State has authorized the companies of Vinci Airports, Predica and the Caisse des dépôts et consignations to resume the participation of the State (60%) in the Lyon airport.

The process of the sale of these two airports was initiated last march. To be validated, it must still be the subject of a consultation of representatives of employees and an opinion of the competition Authority, recently said the ministry of Finance.

€ 1.8 billion

According to a source close to the folder polled by Reuters, these two operations should bring around 1.8 billion euros (1.22 billion for Nice and 535 million for Lyon), while the sale of 49,99% of the capital of the Toulouse Blagnac airport in 2014 to a consortium of chinese Symbiosis had reported 308 million euros.

These disposals should enable the State to finance the energy sector. The government is committed to injecting three billion euros in EDF in order to strengthen the financial structure of the group. He also promised to participate in the recapitalization of Areva, of which the total amount will reach five billion euros…
