Tax CSG revived the debate on tax reform – Les Echos

How to reform the tax without breaking anything? The Council of compulsory levies (CPO) brainstormed at the request of the Senate, the reconciliation of income tax with the SGB. Reform repeatedly considered and rejected each time. The report presented this morning is very careful about this, that complex and politically sensitive judge. It offers other ways to get around the difficulty, starting with making the CSG non tax deductible. A measure 11.2 billion that would cause significant transfers between households, since they would be taxed on the CSG is taken upstream on their income. The product of the reform could instead be recycled in a decrease in income tax in order to counteract the effects. CPO also proposes to levy the tax year in which the income is received, rather than a year later.
