Airbus order book takes flight. The company announced on Monday, August 17, confirmation by the Indian carrier IndiGo a command of 250 single-aisle A320neo family for 26.55 billion dollars (almost 24 billion) at list prices. This is the largest order for Airbus in terms of number of devices.
The A320neo order book and rises to over 4100 aircraft, against 2,831 controls displayed for Max Boeing 737 and the Airbus Group subsidiary widening the gap with its US competitor in the fast growing market of next-generation single-aisle, more fuel-efficient.
In exchange, the Airbus Group stock has gained 1.28% to 63.20 euros shortly before noon, among the highest increases in the CAC 40 index (+ 0.65%). IndiGo, India’s first airline company in terms of market share, was committed in October 2014 for this order, which was signed Saturday’s 69th anniversary of independence of India, said in an Airbus release.
The previous record of Airbus in terms of numbers devices dating back to March 2013 when the Indonesian company LionAir ordered 234 A320 Family valued at list prices of over $ 25 billion.
