ATHENS, April 6 (Reuters) – Greece will reach a framework agreement on the debt with creditors during the Eurogroup meeting scheduled for April 24, said the Minister of Finance in an interview Yanis Varoufakis published Monday by the Greek newspaper Naftemporiki.

“It will be reached a preliminary conclusion (of the negotiations) to the Eurogroup of 24 April, in accordance with the agreement reached at the Eurogroup of 20 February” , he said.

Greece last week proposed a new list of reforms in the hope of obtaining the release of a final tranche of its bailout but creditors of European Union and International Monetary Fund still have not signed anything.

Athens has received no payment since August 2014 and has more and more difficult to meet its needs, forcing the Government to use various stratagems such as borrowing from domestic companies.

An informed source told Reuters late March that the government had enough money to last until April 20.

Yanis Varoufakis Sunday met in Washington the IMF Managing Director, Christine Lagarde, and assured on this occasion that his government intended to honor “all obligations” – referring to a loan of $ 450 million IMF which expires on Thursday.

In the columns Naftemporiki, the Minister said that the government resulting from the radical left wants an agreement “as soon as possible” but will not accept conditions stifle the economy.

“We are going to condemn the country, as did previous governments, sustainable asphyxiation,” he said, suggesting that his predecessors were treated more kindly.

“The negotiations will end when one will reach an honorable agreement which will provide the Greek economy the perspective of a real stabilization and growth substantial” ., Varoufakis adds to the place of his colleagues finance ministers of the Eurogroup

Asked if he had thought of resigning, the minister replied: “Not a minute.” (George Georgiopoulos, Veronique Tison for the French service)
