Minimum wage, taxes: what requires Pierre Gattaz – BFMTV.COM

Pierre Gattaz is not short of ideas. In an interview published Thursday in Challenges , the boss of bosses offers companies to hire, 80% of the SMIC , adults that ‘they would form for 18 to 24 months. Compensation that should be supplemented by other devices to reach the minimum wage.

“I advocate creating customized training contracts, allowing companies to hire 80% of the minimum wage, as is the rule for less than 26 years,” says President and MEDEF.

“The company would train them for a period of eighteen to twenty-four month, a heavy investment. And their compensation should be supplemented by unemployment benefit or RSA to reach the minimum wage” , he explains. This would help to curb unemployment and alleviate the labor shortages in certain sectors, he said.

500,000 officials on simplification

On the question of degression of unemployment benefits, Pierre Gattaz responds with a “why not, or review the duration and conditions compensation. ” To recall, the Prime Minister Manuel Valls had said in late February that the question of a possible gradual reduction of unemployment benefits was “not today (her) about” but was a “challenge” for the social partners.

On taxation he considers “unstable, often punitive and complicated,” Pierre Gattaz otherwise advocates the establishment of a proportional tax without tax shelter (“flat tax”) for companies and capital gains.

As part of efforts to simplify expensive for the government to fight against inflation standards, the head of the main French employers’ organization suggests to “affect between 5 and 10% of civil servants simplification” or 500,000 workers, and a “buddy up of official business leader in every department.”
