Mr. Tsipras, who failed in nearly two seats to obtain an absolute majority in the parliament elected Sunday is able to govern after the announcement of an alliance with the small Syriza party Independent Greeks, strengthened by 13 deputies.

We will give a vote of confidence to the new Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, said Panos Kammenos, leader of the Independent Greeks, after a meeting at the headquarters of SYRIZA Mr. Tsipras, who obtained 149 seats out of 300 of the Parliament, missing nearly two elected by absolute majority.

According to a source who requested anonymity SYRIZA, the two parties will join forces to ensure a parliamentary majority and form a government.

The sovereignist party Independent Greeks developed a very strong anti-austerity rhetoric, such as SYRIZA, but defends nationalist and conservative positions in terms of morals. He had said before the election his intention to ally with Syriza to end austerity measures.

According to the almost final results of Sunday’s parliamentary, independent Greeks get 13 seats and 4, 75% of the votes, the sixth power of the Parliament.

This party was formed after the outbreak of the Greek crisis in 2010 by Panos Kammenos, a splinter from the right New Democracy, defeated in Sunday’s elections . In previous parliamentary elections in 2012, the party entered for the first time in Parliament by obtaining 20 seats and 7.5% of the vote
