New record for unemployment in France in February – Boursier.com

The number of registered at employment center, fails to stabilize, after the yoyo recent months

After a pause in January (-0.8%), the number of registered employment center in Category A, and therefore not engaged in any activity, grew 1.1% in February, to 3.591.00 or 38,400 more than at the end of January. This is a new record. Adding categories B and C (people who exercised reduced activity), the increase was limited to 0.1% (3100-5462800, 5766300 including the departments overseas). The number of unemployed thus fails to stabilize, after the yoyo recent months. Three months the number of applicants for Category A jobs and up 0.6%, while it fell by 0.8% in the three months to the end of January. In one year, it increased by 2.5% against 1.8% a month earlier.

The unemployed under 25 years saw their numbers grow by 0.5% in February and 0.9% seniors. Most affected are in the age group 25-49 years (+ 1.3%). The number of registered unemployed for over a year at employment center, considered long-term unemployed, still up 0.3% on the month and 8.5% year on year. Their share in the total number of unemployed increased by 0.1 points to 45.5% and the average length of enrollment grows to four days to reach 578.

The inputs and outputs employment center, now published based on an average of the last three months, were up 1.8% for the former and 2.6% for seconds. The first entries jumped 17.4% to $ 39.900, which embodies a high of 16. On the output side, the number of terminations for registration discount default is the highest since the summer of 2013.
