Dell sells its services business to NTT – The World

The NTT group has already made several  acquisitions outside the archipelago to offset the  decline in fixed telephony revenues in Japan.

NTT Data the Japanese subsidiary of the giant NTT telecom, announced on Monday 28 March the redemption Dell Systems Corporations, Dell Technology & amp; Dell Services and Solutions Limited, three IT services companies Dell subsidiary, for $ 3 billion (2.73 billion euros).

These entities are located primarily in the US, which should allow NTT to expand its customer base outside Japan. NTT Data will acquire 100% of the three companies and keep the 28,000 people they employ, mainly the United States and India. These employees will add to the 70,000 of the group outside Japan. These Dell companies including providing IT services to medical institutions and structures in the United States.



Actors heckled

The NTT group has already made several acquisitions outside Archipelago to offset the decline in fixed telephony revenues in Japan, which previously constituted the bulk of its revenue side of mobile services.

Heckled in its traditional markets by the arrival of smartphones and tablets, Dell separates some divisions as part of the acquisition of US provider of software and EMC data storage solutions. This purchase, for $ 67 billion (about 61 billion) announced in October 2015.

It should enable Dell to accelerate its transformation into a landscape of IT jostled by the moving and storing data remotely on servers ( cloud )
