The Libyan government recognized by the international community has allowed the new National Oil Company (NOC) to begin exporting oil prices, he said in a statement.

The new National Company , created in March, is in competition with the former NOC, based in Tripoli and therefore is under the control of militia Libya Fajr (Dawn of Libya) who took the capital last summer. Since Libya is run by two parliaments and two rival governments, and attempts by the UN to resolve the conflict stall.

In a statement, the recognized government, based in Tobruk, authorizes the new NOC-based Benghazi to “start exporting crude oil and its products,” to “open a new bank account in the UAE” and “open offices in Germany, Great Britain and the United States.”

The government intends to start collecting himself oil money, an essential resource of the Libyan economy.

Previously major player in the market of black gold, Libya saw production fall after the fall of Muammar Gaddafi’s regime in 2011. The country plunged into chaos, only produces some 350,000 barrels per day, according to estimates, against more than 1.5 million before the revolution 2011.

The oil infrastructure is also regularly the target of attacks.
