The Islamic state claims responsibility in Tunisia, possible … – Le Figaro

The atentat perpetrated Friday against a Sousse hotel in Tunisia was claimed responsibility in the night by the Islamic State group. The death toll reported 38 dead and 39 wounded.

“Most” victims are British, according to the Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid. Others come from Belgium, France and Germany, he said.

France has not yet confirmed (Saturday shortly before 08h) presence of nationals among the victims.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the alleged perpetrator of attack is called Seifeddine Rezgui, a young Tunisian native Gaafour (northwest) but studying in Kairouan (center). It was unknown to the police and acted alone “a priori,” the Secretary of State for Security Affairs, Rafik Chelly. “He went by the beach, dressed like someone who was going to swim, and he had an umbrella in it with his weapon,” the official said on the radio Mosaique FM. The attacker targeted customers on the beach, then entered the compound of the hotel to shoot down clients installed by the pools.

Hundreds of tourists were taken to the Friday night to Saturday by bus to the airport of Enfidha, located halfway between Tunis and Sousse, Tunisia for evacuation
