Attack in Isère: raided the home of the suspect – Le Figaro

According to the prosecutor of Paris François Molins, given the records of the two cameras, the suspect presented himself at the wheel of a commercial vehicle shortly before 9:30 in front of the industrial gas plant of the US company Air Products Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, about forty kilometers from Lyon.

It has been able to enter this sensitive site because “he used to return to the factory to make deliveries” and was well known to staff , said the prosecutor. A few minutes later, he planned his vehicle in one of the hangars of the site, causing an explosion “blew part” of the building, causing no injuries.

The assailant had previously signed a macabre staging, hanging on the fence outside the decapitated head of his employer, surrounded by Islamist flags. Firefighters rushed to the site were then caught to open bottles of acetone and mastered, the prosecutor added.
The body of the victim was found near the commercial vehicle and that a knife, being analyzed. The terrorism prosecutor of the capital took up the investigation. The victim was 54 years old

Four guards at current view. Of the suspect, his wife, his sister, and another individual. Nothing at this stage to confirm the existence of an accomplice.

The alleged the attack Friday in Isère had been spotted by the intelligence from 2006 for links with the “Salafist movement” and still had drawn attention between 2011 and 2014, without a very close monitoring is engaged. Aged 35 and born in Pontarlier, Doubs, Yassin Salhi was installed six months ago in the suburbs of Lyon, Saint-Priest, with his wife and their three children. The suspect, neutralized by firefighters and taken into custody, had been the subject of a sheet “state security” from 2006 to 2008 for “acts of radical Islamism”, confirmed late on Paris prosecutor Francois Molins.

“He had continued to occasionally draw attention between 2011 and 2014 for its links with the Lyon Salafist movement,” said he added without elaborating.
