CGT: Lepaon will not be "rats leaving the ship" – The World

The Secretary General of the fate of the CGT and its confederal office will be sealed later than January 13 at a special session of the National Confederal Committee (NAC), confirmed on Wednesday union. Calls for the resignation of Thierry Lepaon multiply in the confederation since the revelations about the renovation of his official residence and his office and compensation received when he left his responsibilities in Normandy.

On France 3 Basse-Normandie, the leader says “the secretary general of the CGT is not consulted on the work being done in his office” . “This is the administration that regulates these questions” , he defends. Thierry Lepaon denounces “a campaign of the interior” , noting that the documents about these works were stolen internally. “They were given to the press to hurt the general secretary of the CGT and probably the CGT itself” , he said.
