The group headquarters south Korea’s LG was raided Friday in Seoul as part of an investigation into the sabotage of washing machine of its rival Samsung in German stores.
“Our office is raided by investigators,” confirmed AFP a spokesman for LG.
Investigators seized documents and hard drives and the LG factory in Changwon (South) has also been the subject of a search, according to Yonhap news agency.

Samsung, LG competitor in smartphones and appliances, seeks compensation for defamation, invasion of property and obstruction of economic activity.
LG partly denied the accusations, recognizing that its employees had visited the stores in question, but only in the context of a market study and explaining that he had no intention of destroying the exhibits.
LG also against-attacked, saying in a statement that “washing machines of a certain company seem to have much more fragile hinges than other companies.”
The Samsung giant produces a wide range of electronic products, from refrigerators and TVs through the flat-screen TVs and mobile phones.
Its smaller rival LG is one of the world’s leading home appliance.
The two companies will square off for years in the domestic market.
