UPDATE 2-Wall Street ends down slightly after Ukraine – Reuters

* The Dow Jones lost 0.39%

* The S & amp; P 500 virtually flat, the Nasdaq rose

* Ukraine weighs less than in Europe

NEW YORK, Aug. 15 (Reuters) – The New York Stock Exchange finished down Friday, however, with less than the European markets with the announcement of the destruction by Ukrainian army of Russian tanks in Ukraine.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 50.67 points, or 0.30%, to 16,662.91 points. The S & amp; P-500, wider, lost 0.12 point (0.01%) to 1955.06 points. The Nasdaq Composite rose 11.92 point turn (0.27%) to 4464.92 points.

Wall Street started in the green but has turned down after the statement by Ukraine of the destruction of a significant portion of a column of Russian tanks with crossed the border last night.

Russia has denied any military incursion of this kind, which, if true, would go one step further to the crisis.

The news triggered a retreat into safe havens away from equities and in favor of government bonds. Read more …
