Supplementary pensions: CGT mobilizes – the New Republic

The social partners had an appointment in Paris yesterday for a new meeting negotiations on the accounts of complementary pension funds Agirc (frames) and Arrco (private employees). Meanwhile, the departmental union CGT called his supporters to protest outside the headquarters of MEDEF in Tours.

This gathering was to denounce the original proposals of employers who advocates raising the age of retirement at the full rate (62 to 67), while reducing the level of pensions, particularly survivors’ pensions for spouses. The CGT also opposed to the idea of merger between the two banks.
To finance the system, the union proposes for its part to “tax capital” companies and dividends returned to shareholders. “We also advocate equal treatment between men and women” said yesterday the secretary general of the departmental Union, Stéphane Deplobin before fifty demonstrators gathered yesterday at noon in front of the MEDEF, rue de Buffon.
