Macron Act: Valls will use 49-3 – Les Echos

Prime Minister commit today Tuesday the government’s responsibility, through Article 49-3 of the Constitution, to allow the adoption without a vote of the bill Macron in new interpretation. The opposition will file a motion of censure.

The government has chosen to go quickly to the adoption in second reading of the Macron law to the National Assembly. After the Assembly, the Macron bill must start in the Senate, then return before MPs for the final vote, on the occasion of the special session in July.

The opposition will file a censure motion

The right was quick to react and denounce a “truncated debate” , a “denial of democracy” . Christian Jacob, the leader of deputies Republicans announced that the opposition would table a motion of censure against the government. “This is the general panic in government. The Prime Minister is in distress, it is an act of defiance vis-à-vis its own majority “, he has réagi.

As for the Left Front MPs, they announced that they would try them too, as they had done unsuccessfully in February, to file a censure motion. The government resorts to 49-3 “to avoid any discussion of the draft law and Macron not confront the real opponents of the text” , they rebelled in a statement.
