Boeing urging a further increase in the demand for pilots and technicians – Le Journal de l’Aviation

The demand for pilots and maintenance technicians would experience a further increase in the next two decades, according to forecasts published by Boeing this 21 July. The outlook for the 2015-2034 period would be for a commercial need 558,000 pilots and 609,000 maintenance technicians, increasing compared to the 2014 study which provided 533,000 new pilots and 584,000 technicians.

C is once again Asia Pacific which includes the highest number of claims with 226,000 pilots and 238,000 technicians, against 95,000 pilots and 101,000 technicians for Europe; 95,000 pilots and 113,000 technicians for North America; 47,000 pilots and 47,000 technicians for Latin America; 60,000 pilots and 66,000 technicians to the Middle East; 18,000 pilots and 22,000 technicians for Africa and finally 17,000 pilots and 22,000 technicians for Russia and the CIS.
