A new showdown will take place between the unions of road transport and management. The Inter (CFDT, CGT, FO, CFTC, CFE-CGC) has indeed launched from Sunday night a call for indefinite strike to force the employers to return to the table of wage negotiations, but do not have the ambition to “block” the country.
The broken dialogue for a month. Area of activity and distribution centers will be covered by the night Sunday to Monday, Brittany and Ile-de-France in particular, unless employers accepts by then resume the dialogue broke on 9 February. “Now the ball is in the camp of the bosses, if they really want to negotiate,” said Thierry Cordier CFDT Transport (majority), eager to resume talks as soon as possible.
No massive blockage in sight. In the week, the employers’ organization for SMEs (UR) said it was “open to further negotiations with the unions on the basis of reasonable proposals,” a outstretched hand that did not join the other employers’ federations FNTR TLF and Unostra. The unions had previously seen their claims down, renouncing the minimum limit of 10 euros gross per hour claimed for the lowest road transport coefficients (currently 9.43 euros). “We did the job by making new proposals, a little down, trying to find a release path” admits Thierry Douine (CFTC). “Now we wait, the hours pass,” he said, determined to get into the movement even if it does not lead to a “blocked France.”

Since then, all agreed minimum has passed, except for one under the minimum wage. In their latest proposals, FNTR, TLF Unostra and said they were ready to give a revaluation bearing the lowest coefficients to 9.62 euros, a penny more than the minimum wage, and the highest 9.89 euros.Les unions who judged “inadequate” these proposals could negotiate an agreement with the only UR, which has proven “best offer” according to them in previous sessions négociations.Le conflict over wages began on 18 December. CFDT militants had blocked for several hours HGV toll at Saint-Arnoult-en-Yvelines, west of Paris.
