Trains, aircraft, energy, new day of strikes stations … Thursday – Le Figaro

After the train Wednesday, RATP and 16 NPPs are in turn disrupted by strike action on Thursday. What are the consequences of this mobilization.

New day strike in France on Thursday. Between internal claims and opposition to labor law, the strikes continue and extend to other sectors. After a day of disruption on the rail network due to a strike call three of the four unions of the SNCF, it was the turn of the RATP and nuclear power plants to join the mobilization.

• 16 of the 19 French nuclear strike

FNME-CGT (national mining and energy Federation) passed a renewable strike in 16 of the 19 nuclear power plants which starts this Wednesday at 21 hours by a load drop. In a statement, including the CGT asked the employees of energy to perform “targeted electricity and gas cuts to state services and local Medef.”

CFE-CGC and UNSA Energy Energy decided to join the mobilization. Their federations, who are allied at the branch of the Electricity and Gas Industries (IEG), call in a statement the employees in the sector to join Thursday’s protest movement “by, at least, strike time” to protest against the “major obstacle” that is the inversion of the hierarchy of norms.

Thursday, May 26, the movement in the energy sector had led to a drop in production of 6000 MW, according FNME-CGT, with a dozen plants, including new nuclear power plants affected. On Tuesday, the union tried to disrupt by a power outage inaugurated by François Hollande of the City of Bordeaux wine, but a generator took over.

• The SNCF provides similar disturbances

at the SNCF, the strike launched Tuesday was the eighth since early March, however, it is the first unlimited duration. The three unions at the origin of the movement (CGT, FO and UNSA) renew their action on Thursday. For now, the company Railways foresees disturbances identical to the previous day, six out of ten TGV, Transiliens four out of ten, an Intercity three, and finally a two-TER. The company lived 17% of strikers across all personnel, SUD-rail “more of a railwayman on both.”

• RATP metro, buses and trams run normally

The RATP begins Thursday an indefinite strike called by the CGT. For this first day of mobilization, Paris governed announcement very little disruption to users of central Paris. Traffic forecasts are “normal” on the subway lines and “normal” or “near-normal” for buses and trams. Ditto for the RER A, the interconnection in Nanterre-Prefecture station is also provided.

However, things get complicated at the RER B: travelers have only three out of four trains between Gare du Nord and Saint-Rémy / Massy-Palaiseau / Robinson and a train of three between Gare du Nord and Mitry / Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, with a mandatory change in North station, warns RATP.

• air traffic slightly disrupted by a strike of controllers

the call to stop work on Thursday and Friday, the UGFF-CGT (public service) was relayed by the USAC-CGT, the first union of civil aviation, including that manages air traffic control. The union, like all representative organizations in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), also called for the strike on June 3 to 5, this time in defense of the categorical claims (enrollment, premiums, etc …).

Thursday, the DGCA has asked airlines “to adjust their flight schedule to and arrival from Paris-Orly,” said Air France on its website. The French national airline announced for its part a “moderate impact” of the movement. She plans to make all its long-haul flights, all flights scheduled to Roissy (departure or arrival). However, to Orly and Lille, 10% of flights should be deleted and “delays and last minute cancellations” are not excluded.

Meanwhile, EasyJet says have “had to cancel 6 flights ‘France and expects “further disruption and delays (sound) flight program.” Ryanair called again on Wednesday the European Commission to “take concrete measures to prevent the closure of European airspace caused once again by French air traffic controllers’ unions.” To avoid a bitter strike by air traffic controllers from Friday to Sunday, negotiations continued Wednesday between the DGAC and unions.

• The situation improved at service stations

If six of the eight French refineries remain stationary or idling, the situation returns to normal gradually in the supply of fuels. On Wednesday, all petroleum deposits have been released, except that of Gargenville (Yvelines) on strike. According to the Secretary of State for Transport, the situation improves on the side of the gas stations. “We went below 5% closed stations,” said his spokesman. That’s about 500 stations in the 11,500 counted in France.
