Prices that increase inexorably

Following a decision of the State Council Wednesday canceling an electricity increase deemed insufficient for part of 2014 and 2015, EDF will apply a tariff adjustment to the 28 million individual customers who are still subject to its regulated rates.

This retroactive bill will be about 1.5 euro per month over 18 months, according to Minister Environment and Energy, Segolene Royal. But it might not be the last: EDF competing energy suppliers have filed another appeal before the State Council against the increase in prices of 2.5% on 1 August 2015 and seen as too low .
