Sunday work: Door not closed to Galeries Lafayette, BHV agreement – La Voix du Nord

The door is not yet closed a deal on Sunday working boulevard Haussmann store of Galeries Lafayette, although no union has yet signed text, unlike that proposed the BHV-Marais (Galeries Lafayette group), did on Wednesday from union sources.

at Galeries Lafayette, the management was prepared to review the CFE -CGC which, like all other unions, has not signed the proposed agreement, told AFP Biancotto Jacques, president of the CFE-CGC trade and services. “The door is not closed”, provided that management revisit “our proposals,” he added.

To have a valid agreement (signed by unions representing more than 30% of the vote professional) unless other unions opposition, management needs the signature of the CFE-CGC and the CFTC, which has not signed.

Approached by AFP, the direction of the Galeries Lafayette has made “no comment”.

Mr. Biancotto said his union (28% of votes) had made 16 proposals to management on this agreement and that “only five” were retained. “Uncertainties persist” on several points, “we do not sign a blank check,” he said.

He noted that CFE-CGC had however signed the proposed text BHV-Marais, where “advanced” were obtained.

The draft agreement that would allow Sunday opening of the flagship store of Galeries Lafayette, negotiated since February, was submitted for signature until Tuesday night. As expected, the CGT, FO and the SCID, opposed to Sunday work, have not signed

“At the deadline, there is no valid agreement, “observed Fouzia Es Salmi (CGT). “Galeries Lafayette are not ready to open on Sundays (…) (The score is) unions 5, Galeries 0″, welcomed the SCID, also sued by management challenging representativeness since he disaffiliated CFDT.

BHV-Marais, where employees had yet expressed in November, by a narrow majority, against an initial draft agreement, negotiations were reopened late March. The text was signed Tuesday by the CFE-CGC and Solidaires South BHV, who was “more interesting” than the Galeries Lafayette.

The CGT and CFTC have eight days if necessary, to make opposition.

In both cases, the draft agreements distinguish employees usually working week and occasionally Sunday, and those weekends, hired specifically for part-time (one hundred scheduled to Galleries, 150 BHV)

at Galeries Lafayette, for the former, worked Sundays. – capped seven per year – would increase by 100% (paid double) and accompanied by a recovery. For the latter, hired specifically, Sunday hours would also be increased by 100%, but without recovery.

BHV, the agreement provides for three years a ceiling of 15 worked Sundays (and paid double with recovery) per year for employees usually working week. For those weekend, the first 15 Sundays will be increased by 100%, following 50% without recovery.

The text also provides a management commitment not to close three area stores Paris and Lyon during the term of the agreement, and the removal of the weekly night, said François Le Menuet (Sud-Solidaires BHV).

At Galeries Lafayette, one of the points that block for the CFE-CGC, included uncertainty about the opening times or the personnel involved in the penalties on Sunday.
