SNCF tickets, new customs codes or declining gas prices, the month of May brings with it its share of changes to your everyday life. Le Figaro an update to help you there.
● New lower prices for
About 6 million households will benefit from a further decline in gas prices, following the general 3.72% from 1 April 2016. the regulated prices will fall an average of 0.61% (excluding taxes) from May 1. The drop in gas prices will be more or less important depending on the use of the household, for example 0.2% for those who use gas for cooking. Those who use gas for hot water and cooking will get a 0.4% decline while those who heat with gas will have a reduction of 0.6% on their bill, says the service-public site.
● the conditions for the exchange of train tickets are hardened
the SNCF plans to use it May 1 to harden the conditions of exchange of its TGV tickets. Specifically, it will not be possible to exchange or book a ticket for free from 30 days before the control of said ticket. It will cost 5 euros to be able to do in that time. The rates of change in the two previous days the departure will be increased up to 40% of the ticket price with a maximum of 15 euros extra charge for the TGV. ● Establishment of the new Customs Code
The new Customs Code as required by the customs administration. – Which s’ prepares for months – will be set up on 1 May. It will replace the old code, which had not changed since 1992. Named “the Customs Code Union” (CDU), the example involves the introduction of authorized economic operators (OAS) in the European Union. They have the mission to verify compliance of exports to the EU. ● Rates Change for notaries
this is part of the Macron law – from 6 August 2015 – that notaries will see their rates fall by 2.5% on average this May 1, 2016. However, this change not risk too much influence individuals. According to calculations of the Supreme Council of Notaries, the maximum discount that a customer could get for example to buy a house of 200,000 euros would not exceed 40 euros.
