Alstom announced the end of production of trains and engineering at its site in Belfort. This closure affects 400 of the 480 employees of the site. Only will continue the activities of maintenance and repairs.
The production site will close within two years. At midday, the plant manager brought together trade unions to inform them of the decision taken by its general direction. “All employees affected will be offered a transfer to another plant of the group, including that of Reichshoffen” says Alstom.
