Pierre Gattaz pulls the alarm on the law Khomri El – Le Figaro

INTERVIEW – In an exclusive interview to Le Figaro , the president of Medef critical corrections to the Labour Law by members of the Committee on Social Affairs. “I pull the alarm. I say stop! “Proclaims he feared that the text is more unraveled at the meeting, from May 3

Pierre Gattaz, president of MEDEF, is risen against members of the social Affairs Committee which, he said, complicated the draft Labour law, already heavily amended, carried by Myriam El Khomri. He solemnly appeal to all parliamentarians of both right and left out of this “legislative madness” far removed from the initial ambition of the text. And the boss of bosses threat, a hint of turn its back on social dialogue if the CGT and FO, in particular, do not give up their culture of class struggle and their caricature of the company.

tHE FIGARO How do you version of El Khomri law that came out of the social Affairs Committee of the Assembly?

Pierre GATTAZ.- I pull the alarm. I say stop! This version remains in the logic of compromise, the arrangements between friends, giving of giving then it would be in win-win, as in Germany or Switzerland. Business competitiveness has been forgotten. I am very worried: it is far from the initial ambition of the text which was to boost employment and simplify the Labour Code. This version is a complex monument. We are full legislative madness. Beside some good measures, I see a systematic perversion of all initial ideas. The CPA, dedicated to active, was expanded to retirees. Where are we going? Same question for the citizen engagement account of which we know nothing, or fungibility of rights in the CPA. And the most important point, even unacceptable, is the requirement to use the union to negotiate an agreement mandating in small businesses. With this measure, which will affect 95% of companies, employee representatives are forced, elected by the employees, to resort to compulsory union or we do not consider legitimate to negotiate. It’s scandalous! The law El Khomri, which should allow direct discussion with staff elected or with employees, has been reoriented to strengthen unions in TPE.

Are you worried that MPs harden in meeting the perimeter of redundancies?

I fear everything and solemnly appeal to the deputies of the right and left. If we continue to be in defense of devices and politicking, we will not succeed.

That’s why you play shows in negotiating unemployment insurance? You wait for the outcome of the El Khomri law to position yourself …

The fate of this law will set the tone of social dialogue in the months and years ahead. We can not discuss with organizations that refuse globalization and a culture of class struggle.
