child ABUSE – A study published published on Tuesday, reveals that a landlord on both rent too expensive in Paris.
One year after the entry into force of the rent control introduced by the act Alur, a study of consumer association, CLCV (Consumption, housing and living environment), published Tuesday, reveals that one landlord in two leases still too expensive in Paris when he dispensed of the services of a real estate agent.
The CLCV has examined 800 small ads published on eight web sites specialized with equal sharing, both between rentals bare and furnished only between owners, landlords and estate agents. It appears that 75% of the ads placed by real estate agencies are in accordance with the rent regulation, compared to only 51% of those from an individual who rents out live.
according To the association, the abuses recorded are concentrated on the furnished studios such as the famous “good rooms”. According to the study, 46% of the ads corresponding to this type of housing rent in the capital displayed a rent to be excessive, compared to 12% for the 4 pieces. A reality that deplores the CLCV because it affects “mainly young people and students who are renters, or a public relatively fragile economically”.
The study highlights, however, a slight improvement in the compliance rate compared to the prior law Alur. In fact, it was only 70% (through the agencies) and 47% (for donors live), three months after the beginning of rent regulation, introduced in August 2015.
