China will invest $ 50 billion in Brazil – Boursorama

The Brazilian government announced Thursday that China will invest $ 50 billion in the South American giant, so what expected Tuesday Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

The Chinese premier will meet President Rousseff on Tuesday to give the kickoff to the new investments that will focus in the areas of infrastructure, rail networks, roads, ports and airports.

They relate in particular to an ambitious project to build a “rail and marine corridor” for outputting Brazilian exports to China in the Pacific. This corridor will pass through part of the Amazon to Peru.

Mr. Li will arrive on the evening of 18 in Brazil, Rousseff will meet on 19 and will leave Brazil on 21 in the morning to Colombia after spending a day in Rio de Janeiro.

During the official visit, the two countries, members of the BRICS (economic bloc that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) will discuss the agenda of bilateral trade whose first sales 22 aircraft from the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer that are part of a total contract of 60 aircraft.

According to the Brazilian diplomacy, trade between China and Brazil increased from $ 3.2 billion in 2001 to $ 83 billion in 2013.
