The Paris Bourse retreated slightly Monday morning (- 0.25%), the start of a week full of appointments macroeconomic including a meeting of the European Central Bank (ECB).
9:21 (7:21 GMT), the CAC 40 index lost 13.23 points 5,227.23 points. Friday, he had 0.60%.
“After the sharp increase last week, the ACC could vegetate in early this week,” say analysts in a note broker Aurel BGC.
The Paris index has gained more than 20% since the beginning of the year and stabilized last week above the symbolic threshold of 5,200 points.
“Despite the enthusiasm of investors, concerns remain about the economic recovery in the world, so that we are entering a busy week in the publication of indicators,” warns Michael Hewson, analyst CMC Markets.
“China got the ball with disappointing figures,” said his side Chris Weston, a strategist at IG.
The Asian giant has seen its exports heavily trip in March with an unexpected decline of 15% year on year.
The week will also be marked by the resumption of the results of publications companies in the United States after the particular kick last week by the aluminum producer Alcoa.
“The way leaders see the interest rates, the dollar, the economy and oil (…) will be important and this will play a role in arbitrations” investors this week warns Mr. Weston.
Investors will then be of interest to a meeting of the European Central Bank (ECB), the first after the early March launch of its massive debt buyback program.
Since March 9 massively ECB buys bonds issued by countries in the euro zone. Monetary Frankfurt institution wants to spend 60 billion euros per month at least by September 2016 sovereign bonds and other debt products or minimally 1.140 billion.
This program has contributed significantly to the euphoria of European markets since the beginning of the year.
The markets also keep an eye on the progress of discussions between Greece and its creditors.
As for values, Dassault Aviation (+ 2.96% to 1210.05 euros) took advantage of the unprecedented agreement on the sale of 36 Rafale fighter jets to India. The French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius also dangled the possibility of a Rafale sale agreement with the United Arab Emirates.
The automotive sector pulled the index in Paris down to the picture Valeo (-0.55% to 143.75 euros), Renault (-0.41% to 89.07 euros), Michelin (-0.60% to 95.54 euros), Peugeot (-0.44% to 15.89 euros).
The luxury sector was also lagging: LVMH lost 0.64% to 171.30 euros and Hermes 1% to 341.90 euros.
Icade gained 0.31% to 83.63 euros. The group announced that Olivier Wigniolle take office general manager “at the beginning of May,” after the interim assured by Nathalie Palladitcheff.
Finally, Bouygues (-0.54% A37, 56 euros) did not benefit from the announcement of a contract to Burma to build a residential complex near Yangon with a total value of 110 million.
